Barcelona Wine Tasting

Traveling around Catalonia throughout its wine, its vineyards and its wineries.

From north to south and west to east, with this Catalan wine tasting you will discover the terroir that makes Catalan wines so special and unique. You will learn which are the typical Catalan wine styles and which are the new tendencies. Each and everyone of the wines tasted will come from small producers, whom with love and respect work their lands in organic ways. Winemakers whose lives we will unravel.

Where?

La Festival is the most fashion winery shop from Barcelona in the heart of Gracia neighbourhood. It is the only shop throughout Spain with 10 back-in-box self-service, from different organic wineries.

The sommeliers

Ludo - After a long and intense experience in the world of wine, Ludo opened in 2012 HumanVins, a small and independent agency to negotiate wine, and today is divided between the management of his own business and La Festival, the shop he runs with other partners. He received his Sommelier diploma in Loira where he was born, and he has also done different wine courses in Barcelona about catalan wines.

Patrícia - She holds the WSET Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits. Patricia has years of experience in the world of wine, specialized in communication, wine experiences and tastings which he communicates with huge passion and great know-how. She has been working in a cultural club, managing the wine department and pairing culture with wines, years that have marked and outlined his path. Today she has a personal project called "UndiaUnvi" where she recommends a wine everyday. She also manages the comunication from different wine business and La Festival wine tastings.

Iñigo - He studied enology in Espiells, As a winemaker he has been working for 5 years in a biodinamic winery in Penedès. His palate was trained from early on and he has a special nose and sensibility. He is one of the owners from La Festival and he combines the vineyards work with the shop and the wine tasting.

All the tastings we’ll be paired with Catalan appetizers (Catalan sausage, Catalan cheese, olives & chips).
